The club was established only three years ago, but it actively participates in sport activities of Olsztyn city (the number of population - 170 000 inhabitants) and Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.
The club has 43 members and majority of them are regularly training and participating in competitions. The club has a website - http://www.masters.olsztyn.pl/
The club collaborates with a water complex Aquasfera and helps with organizing and judging of the competitions.
The president of the club Mr. Mariusz Grabiec is a trainer in the club, and he organises 4 trainings per week for the club members. Monthly membership payment amounts to 10 zloty (approx. 2.35 EUR), and the fee for one training is 5 zloty (approx 1,80 EUR).
The organizing of the championships gives additional incomes for the club. The club has organized Polish Swimming Masters championships in the last years. It also participates in swimming competitions in the Masurian lakes, where are 11 stages. This part of Pland is being called as “a land with 1000 lakes”.
The swimming is important for Polish people. For example, there are 7 swimming pools in this town. On December 16, the international competition II MIĘDZYNARODOWE GRAND PRIX was organised with approximately one thousand participants. The Mayor of city participated in the opening ceremony.
